This shot shows the new layout of the Baldwin diamond. There's two tracks coming straight out of the yard and runaround, with another track coming in from the right tying in the Tallahasse Sub. The track in the foreground is the new leg of the wye linking the Callahan Sub with the Jax Terminal Sub. This allows unit trains heading to West Jax to not have to deal with running through Moncrief and the process of running around their train with the power. Q457 has been using this connection recently as well as some of the office trains. |
